Imagine seeing that. Wow. The power of that…. It sweeps over me every time I see this shot in the film. I can’t say that I would have been brave like Gandalf, Faramir, or even Pippin… This is why Denethor is such a realistic character to me - even though he’s mad - he has the reaction that most men (women) would have when you see such a sight as this… The enemy’s army so huge… Must be terrifying.
